What are your priorities for housing services in 2023?
In December 2022, we made a commitment to be open and honest with you and to involve you in the decisions which affect you when we formally adopted the Residents' Charter.
As part of that commitment, we are engaging with Croydon tenants about a proposal to increase the tenants' rent and tenants' service charges by 7% from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
This is in line with a recommendation by the government to all providers of social housing to increase rent by a maximum of 7%.
We wanted to share with you our priorities for the coming year and to give you the opportunity to tell us what is most important to you.
Our priorities that include the introduction of the Fire Safety Act 2021, Buildings Safety Act and Decent Homes standard mean that there are some areas of work we must prioritise to:
improve the quality of your home
ensure your home is a safe and healthy place to live
ensure your home is well maintained
These priority works are:
fire safety works
ensuring buildings are compliant with health and safety regulations
managing damp and mould
a programme to make homes carbon neutral
