Croydon Council and Network Rail recently invited you to attend an important workshop addressing suicide prevention in Croydon, with a specific focus on suicide prevention in and around East Croydon railway station.
The purpose of the event was to create a more networked and aligned approach among different stakeholders to these complex issues.
The aims of the event were threefold:
To hear different perspectives on the future of suicide prevention in Croydon, with a specific focus on suicide prevention around East Croydon railway station
To establish a shared understanding of actions that can be taken to help prevent suicides at Croydon railway station
To make connections and introductions as a first step toward the creation of an active suicide prevention network in Croydon
We would value your support to evaluate the effectiveness of the day, and plan how to move the work forward following the event. The data from this short evaluation will be reviewed by the Public Health team and Network Rail colleagues in attendance at the event, to support planning for a follow-up session in 2025.
