Volunteer for our Croydon school admission appeal panels
If you are aged 18 or over and would like to get more involved with your community then we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for people to join our school admission appeal panels.
School admission appeals take place when parents and carers appeal a school’s decision not to offer their child a place at a primary or secondary school. Panels usually take place in June, July and sometimes in September. These hearings usually take place online.
Councillor Maria Gatland, cabinet member for children and young people, said, "Children and young people are a priority for Croydon – we want to make sure that all of them reach their full potential, and that they are listened to and at the heart of decisions about their future. As a panel member, you can help to make sure that young people and their families are supported in their right to appeal school admissions decisions, and that they receive a fair hearing. This is a great way to support your local community and we look forward to receiving your application."
Full training is provided.
If interested, please complete our short form linked at the bottom of this page.
